Brief history
The former convent of the Friars Minor was used as a shelter for workers and groups of disadvantaged until 1986. Under the impulse of two promising architects and commissioned by the VKW, it was renovated into a multipurpose conference and meeting center. The Paterspand is the perfect example of the fusion of modern architecture and cultural heritage.
Possibilities
Within our theme events, the Church of the Friars Minor and the authentic convent garden are our property. Medieval banquets in the nave of the church do justice to the location. All the facilities, equipped with multipurpose rooms (six in total), offer plenty of opportunities to link a seminar or workshop to a medieval experience as closing moment. Nothing is as much fun as putting guests or participants on the wrong track.
Capacity
The Church of the Friars Minor has a useful area of 485m2 and a stage of 91m2. It is suitable for events up to 800 people and 450 people seated. ‘T Pandhofke (the patio) covers 335m2 and is suitable for 400 people standing, 300 people in theater setting, or 200 people seated. The other multipurpose rooms range from 85m2 to 242m2.
