Brief history
Between Namur and Bastogne, less than an hour drive from Brussels, lies the impressive moated Castle of Jemeppe. In the center, the 13th century Donjon stands, where La Cour (courtyard), La Ferme (the farm), the outbuildings, walls and a moat were built around. All of this grew into a hilly estate of 65 hectares, in the middle of the green Ardennes forests.
Late in the 20th century, the impressive complex was fully restored in every detail with “new life on old foundations” as a motto. The pictures of this impressive historical complex speak for themselves: relaxation à la carte.
Possibilities
The current complex includes an in-house gourmet restaurant, numerous meeting and event rooms, wellness facilities with an indoor swimming pool and even 80 luxurious rooms and suites. Therefore, the Château Jemeppe is suitable for seminars, team buildings and large corporate events or family days with an adventurous or rather charming touch, obviously with a special touch of the Middle Ages.
In addition, the surrounding countryside and park gardens provide plenty of expansion options. The actual stay at Château Jemeppe is sold per “package” (10 people): complete packages including meals and access to all business and leisure facilities.
Capacity
Château Jemeppe has five halls and meeting rooms, each for 25 to 75 people with the most modern infrastructure (internet, video, projectors). These can of course be clothed in a historical theme. In addition, the two multipurpose rooms in La Grange offer the possibility for seated diners up to 100 people. The large estates and gardens lying around are also ideal for jousting tournaments, medieval market or encampment, or even other historical outdoor activities.
