Client: New Balls Please / A.S. Adventure
Event: Family Day – 500 people
The national holiday was an extra special day for the employees of A.S. Adventure! In the castle of Groot-Bijgaarden and its imposing park, familiar territory for ‘t Hooghuys, a medieval family day was held for 320 adults and 180 children.
A real medieval craft market to make your own jewelry, forge iron or store coins, a “shield-bearer school” training school, heraldry session, acrobatics, … caused major interactivity and engagement.
Once the stomachs were stimulated with a cup of mead or hippocras, customers were escorted by a genuine herald and an ensemble to the historically transformed greenhouse garden to enjoy an extensive walking dinner buffet with grill menus and a great selection of hot and cold dishes, obviously according to the medieval kitchen (and therefore including no potatoes or tomatoes!).
As icing on the cake and to let the full stomachs rest, the crowd got to digest a real knight jousting, including spectacular sword fighting sessions.
